Olympia Heights Site Gets Makeover

Olympia Heights Site Gets Makeover

The Olympia Heights official website,, got a makeover today. Writer, Amy Strickland, has done freelance web design and manages and designs the site for her book. The Olympia Heights site, which was previously a slight variation on on iWeb template, has seen a total makeover this weekend.

The new site front page features an open locker with clickable objects on the shelf. The top shelf has a rolled up newspaper that links users to the “Thunderbolt” (The Olympia Heights news page modeled after a student newspaper). There is space on the shelf for future updates (one which will include an eReader!) The middle shelf has a stack of four books. The top book has the spine facing out, the actual spine design for Olympia Heights: The Pantheon. A football also rests on this shelf. The bottom shelf has an art book that links users to the art gallery and the door has a photo of the author, which links users to her bio.

The front page has a navigation menu at the top for those who are shy about exploring the locker. The locker promises to get cluttered with more goodies as the series progresses, just like Strickland’s locker in her high school days.

You can view all of the changes and explore the site at
